Administrative preparations in full swing ahead of CM’s visit to North Bengal from tomorrow

Siliguri, 23rd October: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be visiting North Bengal on Sunday. In view of this, the administrative preparations have commenced in full swing. The Siliguri Metropolitan Police does not want to leave any stone unturned for the security preparedness during the CM’s visit. 


Reportedly, security arrangements have been tightened in Siliguri including Uttar Kanya. Police Commissioner Gaurav Sharma himself is keeping an eye on the entire security arrangements. Higher officers of the police have been given the responsibility of strict monitoring. 


Meanwhile, the helipad of Fulbari is being given a new look for the CM’s visit. DCP East Joy Tudu and ACP Shubhendra Kumar reached the spot to take stock of the security of the surrounding area. 

It is to be noted, this is Mamata Banerjee’s first visit to North Bengal after becoming the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the third consecutive time. Tomorrow she will land at Bagdogra Airport and will head to Baghajatin Park, where she will attend the Vijaya Sammelan of Siliguri Police. After this, on Monday, she will hold an administrative meeting in Uttar Kanya. She will then travel to Kurseong on Tuesday and hold an administrative meeting. Furthermore, she will visit the landslide-affected areas.
