Kharibari, 08th June: Pushpa Oraon Lakra, the candidate of Adivasi Vikas Parishad of Satish Chandra Tea Garden constituency under Raniganj Panishali Gram Panchayat of Kharibari block won the panchayat election uncontested.
Reportedly, the deadline for filing nomination papers for the election of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad ended on Tuesday. As no one stood against Lakra, she won the elections.
After winning, Pushpa Orao Lakra expressed gratitude to the members of Adivasi Vikas Parishad and assured to work for the development of the region.
