Siliguri, 09th August: Today is Muharram, that is seen celebrated in every Muslim community. They take out Tazia in the evening and the security has tightened up in the city. Today, a few hours before the Tazia ACP Manish Yadav came to the street to check the security arrangements in the city.
During this, ACP also interacted with the Muharram Committee and appealed to them to maintain peace and order during Tazia. The police are also keeping a special watch in the entire city to prevent any unwanted or untoward incident to take place during the procession of Tazia.
