ABVP organized a protest and mass-signature camp demanding arrest of NBU Vice Chancellor for SSC corruption 

Siliguri, 07th September: ABVP today organized a sit-in protest and mass-signature program near the Gandhi statue in Siliguri in demand of the arrest of the North Bengal University Vice Chancellor Subires Bhattacharyya in SSC corruption. 


The demonstrators demanded improvement in the quality of education, infrastructure, and opportunities for the students in the state. Their demand also includes academy calendars that should be introduced in every university.

In support of their demands, the members of the organization have started a two-day mass-signature campaign near the Gandhi statue in Siliguri. This mass signature with the letter and a memorandum will be submitted to the Chairperson of the UGC. State secretary of the organization Subrata Adhikari stated that if their demands are not met, a massive agitation would be launched in the coming days.
