Siliguri, 08th February: BJP MP Arjun Singh reached Siliguri today to campaign in support of BJP candidates in Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections.
The MP started his campaign in support of BJP candidate Kanhaiya Pathak in Ward No. 01 of SMC and is scheduled to campaign in support of other BJP candidates in Ward No. 03, 04, 07, 08, 13, 14, 46. MP Arjun Singh appealed to the ward residents to help BJP win the election.
“The main fight in the municipal elections is between BJP and Trinamool Congress. BJP will not leave the booth at any cost. Our workers will answer in the same language as Trinamool,” Singh stated while addressing the media.
Further taking a jibe at TMC, the MP said, “Abhishek Banerjee has retired Didi from Trinamool Congress. Now the Trinamool Congress is in the hands of ‘Eye Pack” not Didi. Tickets are being given to the candidates in exchange for money. This is causing an estrangement between Didi and her nephew. People are watching everything. That’s why now people are trusting BJP. In the municipal elections, BJP will form its board with a full majority.”
