Rajganj, 24th June: The state is scheduled to hold its panchayat elections on July 8. Ensuring peaceful conduct of the elections, the arrival of central forces in the Jalpaiguri district is a significant development. On Friday night, a company of central forces from Northeast India arrived in Rani Nagar, Jalpaiguri.
The Rani Nagar Panchayat has made arrangements for their accommodation at the training centre, and it is reported that the central forces will commence their route march across the district starting today. This move aims to enhance security measures and maintain law and order during the upcoming Panchayat Elections.
