72 workers lost their jobs for joining Trinamool’s Labor Union

Siliguri, 03rd March: 72 staffers working in a private transport organization under Fulbari No. 01 circle had been reaching out to the transport management for a long time for many demands. However, the concerned authorities did not pay heed to their demands. Seeking support, the workers joined Trinamool Congress’ labor union.

Allegedly, after joining the union, the workers lost their job. Condemning the incident, the labor union of Trinamool joined the movement demanding the reinstatement of workers.

Sukant Kar, block president of Fulbari No. 01 circle, Trinamool Labor Union, maintained that the agitation would continue until the workers are re-employed. Meanwhile, the owner refused to comment on the matter.

They can’t do anything because those people were working for a private organisation. If the head of organisation decides to fire them with proper prior notice or with procedure in terms of their company. Then they can’t do sh*t.
