Rajganj, 13th April: In yet another significant political shift, 50 families from several other parties extensively joined Trinamool Congress (TMC) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
On Friday night a ‘Yogdan Sabha’ and ‘Patha Sabha’ was organised under the leadership of Panchayat member Zakir Hussain in Gadheya Gachh area of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj Block.
Reportedly, about 50 families i.e. 200 workers from other parties extended support to the TMYC President of Rajganj Block Tushar Kanti Dutta and Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed.
In this regard, TMYC President of Rajganj Block Tushar Kanti Dutta stated that the 50 families including Independent candidate Mustakin Mohammad in the Panchayat Samiti from the previous Panchayat elections had joined TMC. He added that this joining has further strengthen the position of the party in the area ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
