40-year-old specially abled person sets on tricycle journey from Basirhat to Assam – Guwahati

Rajganj, 04th October: Sitting on a tricycle, a specially abled person named Khokon Majhi (40) has set out on a journey from Basirhat to Assam and Guwahati.


It has been learned that Khokon Majhi is a resident of Sangramnagar, Basirhat in Kolkata. After travelling for around 15 days, he reached Fulbari in Rajganj block today. He rides the tricycle for about 30-40 kilometres every day and takes rest wherever he reaches at night. He carries his own food and drinking water with him.

Majhi said that he left for Assam on a tricycle 15 days ago. He has been visiting many religious places on the way. His trip is dedicated to his love for God and nature. His aim is to visit the Kamarupa Kamakhya temple in Assam. He added that people of all religions should have devotion towards God. Besides, more trees should be planted as only God and trees can save the world.
