Phansidewa, 03rd October: A woman lost her life after being hit by a train near the Tepu river in the Hetmondi Singijhora area of Phansidewa. The deceased has been identified as Rita Lohar (35), a resident of Promodnagar in Bagdogra. The incident created a stir in the entire area.
Bagdogra police and GRP police reached the spot after receiving the news. The body was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
