31 mobile phones, cash worth over Rs 6 lakh stolen from a shop in Mirik

Mirik, 28th October: Sensation prevailed after big thievery at a mobile shop in Mirik came to light. Reportedly, 31 mobile phones of various companies worth around Rs 6,30,900 and Rs 3,000 cash were stolen from a shop in Mirik Bazaar last night.


According to the information, the entire burglary was captured on a CCTV camera of the shop. While the shopkeeper registered the matter at Mirik police station, the Mirik police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are hunting down the thieves. 

Mirik police station In-charge Sudip Kumar reached the shop today to inspect the incident and assured the victim that the thieves will soon be behind bars. Ujjwal Sharma (Shop owner) and Rajiv Tamang (house owner) said that the theft was carried in a very professional manner.
