Rajganj, 05th May: A total of 300 tea workers from the Cheulibari Tea Garden in Panikauri Gram Panchayat under Rajganj block joined the Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC) on Monday, leaving behind unions affiliated with CPI(M) and Congress.
Jalpaiguri INTTUC District President Tapan Dey and Rajganj Block President Saleman Mohammad welcomed the workers by handing over party flags during a formal induction. A new committee of the Trinamool Tea Garden Workers Union was also formed with these members, and the list was submitted to the garden manager.
According to sources, the newly formed committee will now focus on addressing the grievances, demands, and issues faced by the garden workers.
