Rajganj, 30th December: On Saturday, a day-night football tournament was organized under the initiative of Paghalu Para Yubak Sangha. The 29th edition of the tournament was inaugurated by Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy at Paghalu Para ground adjacent to Sahudangi of Binnaguri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block.
The event witnessed the presence of Sabhapati of Rajganj Panchayat Samiti Rupali Dey Sarkar, Binnaguri Gram Panchayat Pradhan Samijuddin Ahmed, Upa-Pradhan Minati Roy, Rabindranath Roy, Prafulla Roy, Rajesh Roy and other public representatives.
According to reports, 16 teams from different areas are participating in the tournament. The winners will be awarded various prizes including a champion trophy, runners-up trophy, and fair play trophy, along with cash rewards.
Speaking in this regard, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy stated that a one-day football tournament has been organized under the initiative of Paghalu Para YuBak Sangha of Binnaguri area of Rajganj block. He added that similar to previous years, even this year he arrived at the tournament and felt elated to witness the match.
