28-year-old Toto driver from Fulbari missing for five days, family in distress

Fulbari, 20th November: The New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police have launched a search operation for a 28-year-old man from Fulbari who was reportedly missing for five days. The missing youth has been identified as Habibur Rehman Mondal, a resident of Paschim Dhantala under the Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat.


According to reports, Habibur is a Toto (e-rickshaw) driver by profession. Family sources revealed that approximately ten years ago, Habibur resided in Balurghat when he got engaged in holy matrimony with a woman named Tarima Banu of Paschim Dhantala in Fulbari. Subsequently, Habibur decided to shift to Fulbari to live with his wife. On Thursday, the young man had left his family stating that he was heading towards Fulbari. However, when he did not return home on November 16 the family members were left in distress.

Following this, on November 18, the family members of the missing man lodged a missing complaint at the NJP police station. However, despite five days of intensive search operations including the homes of relatives, Habibur’s location could not be traced.
