Rajganj, 20th August: Sixteen cattle died after being trapped overnight inside river water. The incident from the Rajganj Khudivita area created a stir in the entire area.
According to local sources, the cattle were probably tied and released into the Sahu River for being smuggled to Bangladesh. However, things did not happen as per the plan as the rope got stuck on the pole of Sahu Bridge.
Local panchayat member Hazrat Mohammad said that the cattle were stuck under the bridge on Thursday evening. They were found dead today. The incident will come to light only after a police investigation.
