  2. The Audit Committee will submit a report today.

  5. The 3 remaining Higher Secondary exams will be held in June. We will promote the students of Class 11. In colleges and Universities, only final semester exams will happen.
  6. ICDS centre will be closed till May 15. We will continue to send supplies to their homes or they will come take it from the centres.
  7. Government officers from Deputy Secretaries and above will work on alternate days April 20 onwards
  8. We are permitting some additional activities because we want a lockdown with human face
  9. We will give work to 100 day workers in the irrigation, plantations. Industrial estates will have to take permission from the Chief Secretary.
  10. We have received a list from the Textile Ministry regarding the opening of 18 jute mills. But it is discriminatory. We have spoken to the trade unions and decided to open all but only let 15% work
  11. I spoke to some of the migrants stuck in Bandra. We are trying to contact the groups and send them some money to those stuck in different parts of the country.
  12. Some families are stuck in various parts, if we can get their address or phone number, we can give them basic help.
  13. I feel very bad for doctors and nurses. In Ranaghat, a health worker was not allowed into her own house. Remember, god forbid if someone in your family gets affected, the same nurse will help you
  14. The girl will be given a government flat as a special case. If there is any more of such cases, we will take care of them
  15. In Jamuria, once I heard the quarantine centre was in a congested area, I myself told them to shift it. But what was the reason to break the OC’s leg?
  16. A lot of people are saying we are testing less. We had 2 labs, one cannot do more than 100. Now we have 4-5 more. In Malda we have received permission for one more but they are not trained. We will have to train them.
  17. Someone said 30 have died in Bengal, where did you get the number? In the presence of all and the PM, I have told them about the Audit Committee in which we don’t interfere. No one said anything that day
  18. We have called a Cabinet Meeting tomorrow. Those who stay far away we have not called them
  19. Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics will work 7 days and rest for 7 so that they can get rest and work with more energy.
  20. Who spread the news that trains would run to bring back migrants? I don’t blame Central or State for what happened in Bandra, it is a new disease. Mumbai, Gujarat, Delhi the situation is serious. We have to cooperate with them.
  21. No Government hospital is closed down. It was being sanitised. If any doctor is coming in contact with a COVID-19 positive patient, we are sending them to quarantine as per standard protocol.
