13 Rohingyas including six children taken into custody by NJP Police

Siliguri, 23rd April: Sensation prevailed after GRP arrested 13 Rohingyas, including six children, on Friday from the NJP station. As per GRP sources, the gang arrived at the NJP station on Friday evening to catch a train to Assam. 
The GRP officials grew suspicious of the individuals and took them into custody for questioning. During interrogation, it was learned that the gang had planned to go to Rohingya camp in Bangladesh via Tripura from Assam. The 13 people, comprising 06 children, 02 women and 05 men, were arrested under the Foreigners Act. They will be produced in Jalpaiguri court today and taken on police remand for further investigation.
