Dhupguri, 11th June: Sensation prevailed after an 11-foot long python was sighted at the Dhupguri Bhemtiya area.
According to sources, the locals, on Thursday morning, noticed a python entangled in a nylon net inside a betel-nut orchard and immediately informed the forest workers as well as the Dooars Nature and Snake Lovers Organization in Dhupguri.
However, due to the late arrival of the forest workers, the organization members rescued the python and later handed it over to the forest workers.
Reportedly, the python will be released into the Khutimari forests.
