Siliguri, 12th August: Sensation prevailed after the body of a youth was found hanging from a noose in the Bhupender Nagar Palpara area of Ward No. 42. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Kumar Das (30).
According to local sources, Manoj Kumar Das was a resident of the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. He left behind his wife and two children. He lived in Siliguri for several years and used to work in a dairy factory.
The Bhaktinagar police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Police have started an investigation into the cause of death.
