Naxalbari, 29th November: A youth was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup van in the Kilaram Jote area of Naxalbari. The injured man, identified as Anil Mallick, suffered severe injuries.
The incident occurred when the youth was standing near a culvert. A pickup van, travelling from Naxalbari, lost control and crashed into the culvert and hit the youth. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn into a nearby farmland. Residents quickly rushed to his rescue and transported him to the Naxalbari Hospital. He was later transferred to a private hospital in Bagdogra for further treatment.
Upon receiving the news, Naxalbari police arrived at the scene, detained the driver of the pickup van, and seized the vehicle. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
