Siliguri, 18th February: An unsettling incident came to the fore where a youth was found in a blood-soaked condition inside the Siliguri Junction Diesel Shed. The injured has been identified as Pratap Subba (22), a resident of the area under the jurisdiction of the Sadar police station of Darjeeling. The incident led to a widespread commotion in the area.
According to reports, earlier at 11 AM on Sunday, the local residents found the youth in a severely injured condition near the storeroom of the Diesel Shed. Subsequently, the Railway Police Station and the Pradhan Nagar police were informed of the incident.
Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene and recovered the injured youth. The individual was then admitted to the Siliguri District Hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment. Sources revealed that Pratap Subba was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
