Youth fell into a 200 feet ditch while attending nature’s call, prompt action of Sevoke Outpost police saves his life

Siliguri, 04th March: In a bizarre rescue operation, Biswajit Ghosh, a resident of NJP, was rescued by the Sevoke Outpost police after he slipped into a 200 feet deep ditch while attending nature’s call. The incident surfaced from the Andheri Jhora area near Kalijhora under the jurisdiction of the Sevoke Outpost.


According to reports, Biswajit Ghosh was returning to Siliguri from a wedding reception in Kalimpong with his companions on Sunday evening. During this, he stopped at the said location to urinate when he accidentally slipped into the ditch approximately 200 feet deep. The incident was reported at the Sevoke Outpost. Upon receiving the information, the OC of Sevoke Outpost and his team arrived at the location and promptly conducted a rescue operation.

After almost 3 hours of relentless efforts, the officials successfully rescued the severely injured Biswajit Ghosh from the ditch and sent him to a private hospital in Siliguri, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment.
