Jalpaiguri, 01st August: A youth lost his life after being hit by a pick-up van, on Sunday. The incident surfaced from the Belakoba area of Jalpaiguri district. The deceased has been identified as Subodh Roy (34), a resident of Talma.
It has been learned that the youth was returning home from Belakoba, during which, he was hit by a pickup van. The driver of the pickup van rescued him and rushed him to Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries sometime later.
According to the family sources of the deceased, Subodh left behind his wife and two children.
