Siliguri, 28th March: A youth was arrested with a large quantity of yaba tablets, otherwise known as the madness drug, by the Intelligence Department of Siliguri Metropolitan Police. The arrested accused has been identified as Nimai Baid, a resident of Cooch Behar.
Reportedly the IB officials, acting on a tip-off, arrested the youth on Sunday night at the Amaidighi check post area under NJP police station. 6000 yaba tablets worth 18 lakh rupees were recovered from his possession. A case was filed against him under the NDPS Act and was sent to Jalpaiguri court on Monday.
