Siliguri, 26th March: Acting on a tip-off, Pradhan Nagar Police arrested a youth with a firearm from Dharma Nagar area under Ward No. 01 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. The arrested accused has been identified as Gopal Karmakar (27) of Patti Colony No. 2 street of Ward No. 47.
According to police sources, a one-shutter pistol was recovered from the accused Gopal Karmakar. The police are investigating to figure out Gopal’s motive for possessing the gun. He was produced in the court today where the remand of the accused was sought from the court. The police are started investigating the whole matter.
