Siliguri, 20th September: The cops of Pradhan Nagar police station arrested a youth on the charge of bike theft. The arrested youth has been identified as Asim Sarkar. The police also recovered the stolen bike from the youth.
Reportedly, on May 10, a bike was stolen from Salbari and a complaint was lodged at the police station of the same. On investigating, the police learned that the bike thief had left the city. After this, the police was continuously trying to apprehend the accused.
On Monday night, the police received a tip-off about the youth who reached his residence in Samar Nagar. After which the police went undercover and launched a campaign and arrested the accused with a stolen bike from his house. Today the accused has been produced in the Siliguri court.
