Siliguri, 09th August: The 26th World Tribal Day is being observed today across the country today.
Reportedly, Ulgulan Bharat Adivasi Ekta Mancha organized a bike rally in Nagrakata today. The rally commenced from Nagrakata station and toured various parts including Meteli and Chalsa.
On the other hand, the day was also observed in the Grassmore tea garden.
The International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples or World Tribal Day is observed on August 09 each year to raise awareness and protect the rights of the world’s indigenous population.
