World Tribal Day celebrated in Islampur and Chopra

Islampur, 09th August: The 26th World Tribal Day was celebrated in Islampur and Chopra today.


Various programmes were organized on behalf of the tribal organization next to the statue of Sidhu Kanu adjacent to Islampur fire station.

Jescel Hazda, organization Block Secretary, stated that the indigenous community is still deprived of many rights. He conveyed the message to unitedly fight for their rights on this special day.


On the other hand, the day was also observed in Chopra’s Devijhora Battala More on behalf of the Akhil Bharatiya Tribal Development Council. The national flag, as well as the organization flag, was hoisted following which wreaths were laid on the portraits of the martyrs.
