Alipurduar, 07th July: Sensation prevailed after the body of a woman was recovered from the Hedayet Nagar area of Jateshwar No. 01 Gram Panchayat in Falakata block on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Anita Roy (55).
According to local sources, the family members and neighbours sighted the lifeless body of Anita hanging from a bamboo bush in the area this morning. Following which, the incident was reported to the police. Upon receiving the news, the Jateshwar outpost police reached the spot and recovered the body. Police have sent the body to Alipurduar District Hospital for an autopsy.
