Siliguri, 12th August: Matigara Police recovered 42 mobile phones that had been stolen or lost at different times and handed them over to their rightful owners.
According to police, several complaints regarding stolen or lost mobile phones had been received from different areas under Matigara Police Station. Based on these complaints, police launched an investigation using technical methods and other investigative measures, leading to the recovery of 42 mobile phones.
Some of the recovered phones had reportedly been stolen or lost around three months ago, while others had gone missing around a month earlier. Several owners had reportedly given up hope of getting their phones back.
After completing the necessary legal formalities, police handed over all 42 recovered mobile phones to their respective owners.
The owners expressed their gratitude to Matigara Police after receiving their lost mobile phones back.
