Fulbari, 23rd November: In a heart-wrenching incident, a woman has approached the public seeking financial assistance for her husband’s medical treatment. The woman petitioner has been identified as Sakina Khatoon, a resident of Mamta Para under Fulbari-II Gram Panchayat, in Siliguri.
According to reports, Shafiqul Rehman encountered a critical road accident three years prior while going to work on his motorcycle. As a result, Shafikul suffered significant injuries as one of his legs was completely damaged in the incident. Despite receiving intense medical care at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), his condition could not be restored to normal. Formerly, Shafikul was the sole breadwinner of the family. Following the accident, he has been bedridden for three years now. He is survived by his mother, wife, and two children.
At present, his wife Sakina is running the family by working as a labourer. In view of the current issue, Sakina Khatoon requests the public to extend a helping hand for the treatment of her husband.
