Woman goes missing after reaching NBMCH for treatment, family members pleaded for help

Siliguri, 31st January: A woman who had reached for treatment at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital has suddenly gone missing and has caused concern among the family members. According to the information, the missing woman, Anjali Matbar, from Bhotpatti area under Maynaguri along with her husband, son and some other people reached North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for treatment on Monday.


The doctor advised admitting the woman to the hospital after a check-up. When taken for admission on the advice of the doctor, due to the non-availability of beds in the ward, the patient was told to make arrangements to stay on the floor. After this, the family members went to arrange the bed on the floor. When they came back, they could not find Anjali anywhere. After searching at many places no trace of her could be found.

However, the family members accused the hospital staff of negligence and said that a patient went missing from the ward but, nobody knows anything. The family members have lodged a missing report of the woman at the North Banga Medical Out Post. At present, the police have started investigating the entire matter.
