Naxalbari, 19th May: In a shocking turn of events, the lifeless body of a woman was found in the Bijaynagar Tea Estate area of Naxalbari. The deceased identified as Fili Kerketta (44) is a resident of Bijaynagar Tea Estate.
According to reports, the incident unfolded on Sunday when residents stumbled upon the woman’s body submerged in water in a nearby field. Subsequently, the Naxalbari police arrived, recovered the deceased, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem examination.
At present, the police are engaged in the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
