Woman and her daughter go missing for four days from Fulbari

Rajganj, 11th March: A woman named Nuri Khatun and her daughter Sonia Parveen from Fulbari went missing for the past four days. Meanwhile, Nuri’s husband Shariful Mohammad lodged a missing complaint at the NJP police station.


It has been learned that Shariful Mohammad, a resident of Yugivita village in Fulbari, works as a daily wager. He and his wife Nuri Khatun have a 10-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter. The son studies in a primary school in Shaktigarh, Siliguri. Reportedly, Shariful usually used to go to Siliguri for work after dropping his son at school and his wife used to later fetch him from school.

Shariful said that on Monday while going to work, he gave Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand to his wife for depositing in the bank. Following this, she went to her mother’s house with the money. Since then, Nuri and her daughter have been missing. Unable to find them anywhere, Shariful Mohammad lodged a written complaint at the NJP police station.


Mokshed Alam, a relative of the missing woman, said that Nuri Khatun may have fallen into some trap. He demanded the police to find them immediately.
