West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights visits family of minor murdered in Siliguri

Siliguri, 27th August: The West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights arrived in the city, on Sunday, and met the family of the minor brutally murdered in Siliguri. During this, the members of the Commission took detailed information about the entire incident by interacting with the mother of the deceased.


Later, during a press meeting at the Siliguri State Guest House, Sudeshna Roy, the Chairperson of the Commission termed the incident as condemnable. She added that the mother of the victim demanded rigorous punishment for the accused.

In this regard, the commission assured of an impartial investigation of the incident and provide justice. Meanwhile, Ananya Chakraborty, the Advisor of the Commission stated that besides a thorough check on the entire incident, they also took information about the progress of the police investigation.
