West Bengal College Casual Employees Association submitted a three-point memorandum at Uttarkanya

Rajganj, 21st September: The West Bengal College Casual Employees Association submitted a three-point memorandum at Uttarkanya addressing the Chief Minister. Several demands including job permanency of college temporary employees, job security for up to 60 years, and amendment of salary structure were presented through the memorandum.


On Monday, around 200 temporary employees of colleges across different districts of North Bengal gathered at Fulbari. Following which, they staged a rally and headed towards Uttarkanya. However, the rally was stopped by the police as soon as it reached the Fulbari bypass more. Later, five protestors submitted a memorandum at Uttarkanya in this concern.


Mehboob Elahi Ali, president of the state committee of the association, stated that they are deprived of various facilities. He alleged that despite approaching the State education minister several times, no necessary steps have been taken so far.
