WB Governor takes a jibe at GTA and state before his return to Kolkata

Siliguri, 22nd October: Governor Jagdeep Dhankar returned to Kolkata after completing his Darjeeling tour, on Friday. After arriving at the Bagdogra airport from Darjeeling today, he once again raised his voice against the alleged corruption in Gorkhaland Territorial Administration.


Dhankar said that GTA has been in existence for 10 years. The central government and the state government have provided crores of rupees to GTA, but the money has not been accounted for. He further complained that there was no audit.

Furthermore, the Governor went on to allege that there was a corruption of Rs 2,000 crore in the state during the pandemic.


“Although an investigation committee has been formed, the report has not been given to me yet,” he added.
