Darjeeling, 12th July: Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee addressed the swearing-in ceremony for the new Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Sabha at Chowrasta in Darjeeling. Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM) President Anit Thapa along with the other elected representatives took the oath.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister announced to provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakhs compensation to the families of martyred soldiers and also assured to provide a government job to a member of each family.
