Siliguri, 10th August: The traditional ‘Khutti Puja’ for the second year of Ganesh Puja jointly organised by Dooars Human Care Society and Bidhan Market Byabasayee Mancha was held in Siliguri.
Bidhan Market Byabasayee Mancha is entering its ninth year, while its joint Ganesh Puja with Dooars Human Care Society is entering its second year. The organisers said last year’s puja attracted considerable attention, and preparations are underway to continue that success this year.
Instead of following a specific theme, the organisers have planned a completely imaginative concept for this year’s pandal. The pandal will be created by a skilled artisan from Balurghat and is expected to be a major attraction for visitors.
The organisers said that after receiving recognition as one of North Bengal’s best pujas last year, they are aiming to create something even bigger this year.
The formal inauguration of the Ganesh Puja will be held on September 12. Prasad distribution and various social welfare activities will also be organised during the puja days.
