Siliguri, 09th June: A water tap in Ward No. 27 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation was damaged after a vehicle crashed into it a few days ago. As the tap is the only source of water supply in the area, the locals were grappling with a shortage of water since the incident occurred.
Upon receiving the news, Ward Councilor Prashant Chakraborty reached the spot and stated that such unfortunate incidents as broken taps and stealing of iron pipes keep occurring in the area. He assured to arrange for engineers to repair the tap with a new technique soon.
