Siliguri, 30th December: Ward festival ‘Unmeelan’ is starting on December 31 in Ward No. 33 of Siliguri. The said ward festival will be inaugurated on 31st December i.e. Saturday through a grand procession that will continue till January 15.
Reportedly, the ward councillor and mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Goutam Deb will inaugurate the celebration on Saturday. A health camp will also be organized by senior doctors of Siliguri during the 15-day-long festival.
In this regard, the mayor said that the ward festival will commence tomorrow. Mayor Goutam Deb condemned the non-cooperation of the Railways as the Railway officials have demanded lakhs of rupees for using railway grounds for the said ward festival which has confused them regarding sports.
