Siliguri, 21st August: A few days ago, a video has goen viral in Siliguri in which a group of people can be seen thrashing a woman. The young woman from Matigara was beaten and paraded half-naked.
Following this, the victim lodged a complaint at Matigara police station. The police then launched investigations and arrested two people named Deepshikha Tamang and Rajesh Limbu on August 12 and August 15 respectively. The mobile in which the video was recorded has been seized.
On the other hand, the cybercrime police are also looking into the matter. ACP of Detective Department Rajen Chhetri said that Matigara police arrested two people in the incident. A search is being carried out to find out about the other accused individuals.
