‘Vande Bharat Train’ is all set to be flagged on Friday, PM to participate virtually in Bhoomi Pujan of new NJP Station

Siliguri, 29th December: The Howrah-NJP Vande Bharat Express is all set to be flagged off on Friday. Bhoomi Pujan of NJP’s new station will also be done on the same day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually participate in the Bhoomi Pujan. The launch of Vande Bharat Express will be displayed on the LED screen outside Siliguri’s NJP station on Friday. The program is scheduled to start at 11 am.

Apart from this, Bhoomi Pujan of NJP’s new station will take place on Friday. BJP MLAs, including Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, and railway officials are also expected to be present at the NJP station.

Presently there is no new line for Vande Bharat on Malda-NJP and the speed of the train will be less. Because of this, the train will take about 8 hours to reach NJP from Howrah. However, the platform is being built at the entrance of NJP station. Jalpaiguri MP Dr. Jayant Roy will come to NJP from Howrah on Friday by Vande Bharat Express. BJP workers are also said to be present at NJP station to welcome Vande Bharat.
