Siliguri, 07th January: Siliguri Metropolitan Polices ‘Utsarg’ blood donation camp, an initiative to help eradicate the shortage of blood in the city’s hospitals, is being organized every Saturday in various police stations under SMP.
Likewise, the ‘Utsarg’ blood donation camp was organized today under the aegis of Matigara police station and in collaboration with Siliguri Terai Lions Blood Bank. Siliguri Police Commissioner Akhilesh Chaturvedi inaugurated the camp today. The Police Commissioner handed over certificates, medals and roses to the blood donors. Apart from police personnel, common people also donated blood in the camp.
