Naxalbari, 24th April: On Tuesday, BJP candidate and Union MoS Nisith Pramanik actively engaged in campaigning by a roadshow in Naxalbari in support for BJP candidate Raju Bista contesting from the Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency.
According to reports, Pramanik’s roadshow was carried out on an open hooded vehicle, accompanied by BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh, Anandamoy Barman, Durga Murmu, and Vishal Lama. The rally circumambulated through Naxalbari’s Rathkhola and ended at the bus stand.
Meanwhile, a TMC public meeting was simultaneously being conducted at the bus stand. Subsequently, an atmosphere of tension was witnessed when the BJP rally arrived and met with slogans by TMC leaders and supporters. Later, during his address, Nisith Pramanik also delivered a cautionary note directed at TMC workers.
