Siliguri, 02nd June: On the completion of 9 years of the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Darjeeling District MP Raju Bista took the opportunity to enumerate the government’s achievements. Today, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, accompanied by MP Raju Bista, conducted a review of the construction work of the flyover bridge from Balason to Sevoke. Subsequently, the Union Minister held a press conference at a non-government hotel in Matigara.
During the press conference, Minister Sarbananda Sonowal highlighted that over the past 9 years, the Indian government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, has successfully established a distinct image of the country on the global stage. He emphasized that the popularity of the Modi government extends beyond national borders, with heads of state from major countries praising PM Modi.
However, he expressed disappointment with the opposition parties in India, noting that they only criticize the central government without acknowledging its accomplishments.
Furthermore, Minister Sarbananda Sonowal stated that the Modi government has undertaken significant work for the betterment of the country during the past 9 years. He compared this progress to the lack of substantial achievements by the Congress party during its 60-year rule.
