Two tourists visiting Darjeeling from Nadia died in a road accident, five injured

Siliguri, 07th January: Two people died and five were injured in a fatal road accident near Bidhannagar in Siliguri. 


Reportedly, a vehicle carrying tourists heading from Nadia to Darjeeling in the early hours today, rammed into a truck parked on the roadside near Sayedabad Tea Estate in Bidhannagar. In the collision, two of the passengers died on the spot, while five were injured. 

The injured were rushed to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. According to police sources, the deceased have been identified as Rana Chakraborty and Ganesh Sarkar. Both of them are residents of Nadia district.
