Kharibari, 13th March: Sensation prevailed in the area after two people were injured in a head-on collision between a passenger auto and a bike. The incident occurred on Batasi Asian Highway-2 of Kharibari. The injured have been identified as Mohammad Riaz and Mohammad Gulzar.
Reportedly, a passenger auto was heading from Naxalbari to Galgalia. A bike heading from the opposite direction lost control and hit the auto. Due to this two people on the bike were injured. After the incident, the injured were rescued and taken to Batasi Primary Health Center, from where they were referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
On getting the information about the incident, the Kharibari police reached the spot and took the accident vehicles into their possession. The police have started investigating the entire incident.
