Two held for secretly recording video of a woman bathing at a lodge in Siliguri

Siliguri, 01st April: Police arrested the owner of a lodge and his worker for allegedly recording a video of a woman bathing at a lodge, namely Himachal Vihar Township in Matigara. The arrested accused have been identified as Indranil Dutta (lodge owner) and Subrata Dutta.


Reportedly, the woman came to Siliguri from Sikkim for her relative’s treatment at a private hospital in Matigara. For her convenience, she rented a room in Himachal Vihar. Allegedly, she was taking a bath on Thursday morning, during which, one of the lodge workers secretly started recording a video. The woman screamed as soon as she noticed him. Hearing her screams, the people of Himachal Vihar Society rushed to her rescue and started protesting. The incident was reported to Matigara police. Police reached the spot and arrested the lodge worker and owner based on the woman’s complaint.

Meanwhile, members of the Himachal Vihar Welfare Association met the Siliguri police commissioner and handed over a memorandum. According to them, illegal activities are often carried out in the said lodge. Similar incidents have been reported to the police before but no action has been taken so far.


On the other hand, when lodge owner Indranil Dutta’s father PK Dutta was contacted, he denied all the allegations and called them baseless.

    What the heck is wrong with the people … Shameless jerks all over India. This kind of people should be punished in the public area so that everybody can learn a lesson of doing so.
