Cooch Behar, 17th January: Two CBI officers sustained injuries in a road accident that took place in Satmile area. The duo is undergoing treatment at a nursing home in Cooch Behar. They have been identified as Afsar Alam and Vivek Tripathi.
Reportedly, a CBI team was travelling to Mathabhanga from Cooch Behar. Their vehicle collided with a truck in the said area due to which the two officers and their driver were injured.
Meanwhile, no statement has been made on behalf of the CBI officials on the matter. Cooch Behar Dakshin (West Bengal) Constituency MLA Nikhil Ranjan Dey met the injured CBI officers.
